[Digital] A Year Since Violence Erupted in Manipur

This project was supported by the Pulitzer Center.

In the summer of 2023 I did a short newscast and wrote an article for KQED on a small protest in Fremont. At the protest I met Niang Hanzo, who shared the story of her family who fled violence in Manipur India last May. After researching and speaking with her, I pitched to the Pulitzer Center to follow her family’s story by going to Delhi to interview her family. In March, 2024 I traveled to meet her family and interviewed them about what life is like now.
