In their fourth edition of the live comedy show “Stand Up Sit Down,” the incredibly funny Karinda Dobbins and Dhaya Lakshminarayanan host a discussion with Boots Riley and guest storyteller Josh Healey. Riley is best known as lead vocalist of the socially conscious hip-hop group The Coup; he’ also a screenwriter, community activist, and public speaker. Riley has described his music as the kind that makes “everybody dance while telling them about how we need to get rid of the system.” Also appearing awill be Healey, a writer and performer who has been featured in the San Francisco Chronicle and NPR’s Snap Judgment. Topics of discussion may or may not include Riley’s work on a script for a feature length film, global warming, and the end of the world, all with a large dose of humor.
